A Spring In Our Step..

We have been enjoying outside play in this beautiful weather when it is not raining. The children are so energized by the warmer weather. It truly does give them a spring in their steps! As a class, we try and extend our outside time when the weather is nice. On the rainy days we extend our free play and use the Big Room more often.

Recently, we have had family members come into our class and read to us. The children love when a special visitor comes. If you would still like to come in, please let us know.

Beth Levine also came in to “sing” us two stories. It was so nice to have her back at MWS.

Dr. McCafferty came into our school to show us how to take care of our teeth and gums properly. Thank you so much for coming in!

I hope the mothers in our classroom enjoyed being super heroes! The children really loved making these for you. We talked about all of the different ways that you really are a super hero. There were many!

This activity has been so much fun. The children pick out a few blocks and then place their blocks onto a collaborative structure in the middle of the rug. They do this one at a time and really put some thought into where they are going to place their block. A lot of STEM is happening here!

This is an example of our morning play time. The children interact so well together as a group. They loved these tracks so much that we kept them out all week!

These are our adorable birds that we made for our classroom tree. We also made this multi-step springtime bulletin board.

Here are two of our favorite books, squeegee painting and focaccia bread…

Other things that we have done as a class is experiment with sink and float and play “what is missing on the tray” at circle time.

Here are some more extra random pictures for you to enjoy…

This year has gone by so quickly! We still have some exciting times ahead which include a trip to Wilson’s Farm this coming Wednesday and a visit by some goats in our very near future.

Thank you for sharing your children with us each morning. They give us so much joy!

Take care,

Jan and Maggie
