Introducing Wings!

The children in the Yellow Class met Wings last week. Wings is our classroom owl who sometimes makes appearances during circle time. He tends to be a bit sleepy during these visits since he is nocturnal. We also read an owl poem and learned various owl facts:

  • owls are nocturnal

  • owl claws are called talons

  • owls can turn their heads almost completely around

  • baby owls are called owlets

Ask your children to share some of these facts with you!

The children also made their own owls to keep Wings company during the evening when no one is at school. Now Wings has seven new friends! (Don’t you love their names?)

Have a great week!
