Letters In My Name…

Last week we spent focusing on the letters in each child’s name. The children started “signing” in each morning by writing our name in a binder. This we will continue to do all year.

The children also attached each letter in their first name to popsicle sticks. They then practiced placing these letters in the correct order with us. We sent these letters home so that they can practice with you.

We also counted the number of letters that each child has in their name and they then wrote that number on our flip chart.

In addition, each child sponge painted their name by looking at their name cards and copying the letters. We added some fall decorations.

We celebrated our first birthday last week. Evie turned 5! She helped cook her cupcakes and picked out her pink frosting. We made the day very special for our birthday girl! All of the children took part in helping Evie bake!
